Sugar Press Dining Table

Sugar presses were used for hundreds of years in the Philippines to crush sugar cane, most being made from Satinwood or, as the tribes people call it, Ironwood. Satinwood, one of the finest and hardest woods in the world, develops a soft patina over time. Most are antiques but all are one of a kind. Whether used as a pedestal base or alone as a side table, the Sugar Press reminds us of our agrarian roots.
